Anticipating a mid October publication date

Announcing the publication of Nude Nuns and Other Peculiar People

It has been my good fortune to have known and associated with a goodly number of goofballs. I've written about a few of these encounters and have assembled a collection of 21 of my favorites. The scene changes from Ft. Polk to New Orleans to Harvard to Prairie Village to Alaska to Bowling Green to Drury to China and to America's heartland, but the theme remains the same, the pervasive ubiquity of peculiar people.

I have shared the manuscript with several friends and with a few people who are strangers to me.  I've taken the liberty of excerpting some of their comments:

"Two things come to mind after reading your book.  First, I enjoyed it greatly and lost track of the number of lol moments.  Secondly, I'm mightily relieved that you didn't write about me."

"I finished reading your manuscript and found it to be wonderful fun to read.  Aside from your self-deprecating humor and unique way of expressing yourself, I most enjoyed reading of the adventures of an ordinary mortal, encountering very unordinary circumstances and coming out unscathed, always with an astute perspective on the experience and funny.  Bill Bryonesque, but with a Midwestern voice."

"As I was reading your book, I was dying to have my son read the baseball chapter...  I was reading portions of the book to a friend while travelling, and we were both laughing out loud in various airports and planes, a very good sign."

"Your travels are wonderfully recounted.  I lived through it all with you and was worn out at the end, but laughing all the way.  This is a seriously funny book.  The chapter on Harvard is marvelous!"

I will have an print and ebook version available.  Details will be posted in the next few weeks.  Thanks for your interest.
